Winter driving in Canada

I thought you might like pictures of my 1970 NASA spec P6B, "Rip Van Winkle", which has just emerged from storage. The car was carefully mothballed in 1989, jacked up, and left parked in a garage in Montreal, Canada, until I bought it in November 2007. The car is in fantastic condition with only 32000 miles on the odometer. It has been painted black, which was not a standard Rover colour. Was this a special order?
The car was shipped in 1969 as a 1970 model but not registered in Quebbec until 1971; or has the car just been repainted to a very high standard? Who knows??
Cheers
